011 Radiant Blacklight
November Solicits, Small Merchandise Tease, Plus Black Market Narrative Contest Winners!
Happy almost-weekend!
Any epic adventure plans?
Real life fetch quests?
Urban food foraging missions?
I’m still in the recovering-from-surgery phase of the month so it’s going to be pretty low-key for me. Just putting the finishing touches on Radiant Black 8, Ordinary Gods 4, and ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓.
But on the topic of things we can talk about, good news! We’re going to kick off today’s newsletter with a first look at Radiant Black 8!
For those who missed Radiant Black 7, which just hit stores this week, things… are starting to get… cosmic.
Pretty killer, right? That’s Marcelo, Natalia and Becca for you. Always bringing the goods.
Radiant Black 8 has its FOC (Final Order Cutoff) on Monday. As always, you pre-order the book (which helps us a lot) through your local comic book store or through us at https://radiant.black/issues/issue-08/
Dig the art? Have questions about Glitch Guy? Leave a comment! Let’s talk about it! Who knows what answers I might slip up and reveal, like who ▓▓▓▓ actually is!
All (Trade) Dressed Up
If you haven’t been able to check out Radiant Black just yet, or you have but you’re looking for an even prettier version for your shelf, or your friend’s shelf, or your significant other’s… shelf? I guess? Nightstand? Dining room table? Anyway, you’re in luck. On Wednesday, we released Radiant Black Volume One, (Not So) Secret Origin.
As usual, Michael Busuttil really outdid himself on the trade dress. This edition collects Radiant Black issues 1-6, features stunning trade dress with epic spot gloss, a full cover gallery, some updated bits of art and lettering, plus a Radiant language key. And it’s only $9.99.
You can, as always, order from your local comic store. Or on the web. But you can also order through us at radiant.black and we’ve got two specific editions that I wanted to mention here. First, a store I’ve not yet visited but have only heard lovely things about, OK Comics in Leeds reached out to us about doing a book plate for volume one. To which, we were happy to oblige!
Second, we have the Golden Apple secret inscription edition, of which, I have no idea what that means. Absolutely none. There’s no way I’m ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓ ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓

YEPP. We’re going FULL FLUORESCENT. Now I don’t know about you, but if you’re anything like me, I haven’t had a blacklight at my disposal in many years.
So we decided to make some.
Now, we don’t have plans to bring these Radiant Blacklights to stores at the moment, but if you catch me at a convention or, if your store is really lucky, you may find a few of these.
They also might be useful ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓.
But more on that later.

Weekend Read
Temporarily named after my favorite app, I’m going to start building out a section each week about what I’m watching/reading, and also, what you’re watching and reading.
Reviews aside, I’m excited to take a look at Reminiscence tonight. I read the script back in 2015, a few years after it had sold to Legendary. I quite enjoyed it, and am very much looking forward to see what’s new/different/the same.
And of course, I’ve literally been counting the sleeps until tomorrow, when Justin Fields takes over Soldier Field, Mitch Trubisky’s former field.
All right, that should do it on my end. Back to the grind. Enjoy your weekend!
Kyle
Depends. If it's full on florecent I'll go buy a bulb and go all in.
I gotta have that Radiant Blacklight!
