075 Come Hang in New York!
BMN and The Massive-Verse take over NYCC! NO/ONE and C.O.W.L. First Looks! Plus, 🚨ALERT!🚨A Limited Edition BMN Drop RIGHT NOW!
It’s that time of year! New York Comic Con is upon us!
Hey everyone! Kyle here, coming to you from somewhere within the Venn diagram hell that is printer deadlines and New York Comic Con prep.
I’ve got a bunch of cool stuff for you today— including a 🚨Limited Edition Exclusive Drop!🚨 that we’re crazy excited about, along with a look at some upcoming titles like C.O.W.L. 1964 and our crazy extensive NO/ONE trade paperback, but first— let’s talk about next week’s plans for the Big Apple!
This year, we’re going to be joined by a host of talented Black Market and Massive-Verse folks like Marcelo Costa (Radiant Black), Brian Buccellato (NO/ONE), Geraldo Borges (NO/ONE), Ryan Parrott (Rogue Sun), Mat Groom (Inferno Girl Red), Marco Locati (Moon Man) and Rod Reis (C.O.W.L.), as well as the ever-amazing Bear McCreary and Kid Cudi for panels, signings and our now-annual Massive-Verse Meetup at Barcade on Friday night. We’ve made some fancy graphics to help you keep everything straight!
For those who missed our meetup last year or for those who are thinking about coming for the first time, here’s the deal— it’s super chill and a total blast!
We’ll be at Barcade on Friday night starting at 8:30pm and honestly, we’ll probably be there quite late. (Last year, Mat Groom and I somehow made it to 4am pizza, if that’s any indication…)
Barcade is one of my favorite hangs in LA and the Chelsea location in NY is just as awesome. There will be drinks, food and so many arcade games. I’ll be handing out tokens— everyone’s first game is on me!
Also, this is where you’ll be able to find me throughout the weekend. When I’m not on a panel I’ll be down in Artist Alley in booth G-40.
We’ll have books, prints, pins and copies of our Supermassive 2024 Black Market Exclusive Foil signed by myself, Ryan Parrott, Melissa Flores, Joe Clark and Mat Groom!
Can’t wait to see you all there!

Final Order Cutoff
NO/ONE Vol. 1 - FOC October 14 (Monday), on sale November 20
Soon to be a major motion picture!
Last year, the Richard Roe murders shocked the city of Pittsburgh. In the months since, the killings have sparked a dangerous political movement, copycat killers, and a masked vigilante who’s still determined to hold the powerful accountable. Not a symbol. Not a hero. They could be anyone. They’re NO/ONE.
PLUS! The story continues in WHO IS NO/ONE, an included 10-episode audio series starring RACHAEL LEIGH COOK (She’s All That), PATTON OSWALT (Netflix’s The Sandman), TODD STASHWICK (Star Trek: Picard), YURI LOWENTHAL (Insomniac’s Spider-Man), LOREN LESTER (Batman: The Animated Series), ADAM McARTHUR (Jujutsu Kaisen) and more!
Immerse yourself in the groundbreaking true-crime multimedia superhero series ahead of its feature film debut!
Over the last few weeks, Brian Buccellato, Geraldo Borges, Mark Englert and I have been putting the finishing touches on the NO/ONE trade paper back and I’ve gotta say, this is probably my favorite collected edition that we’ve done yet.
In addition to dozens of remastered pages from Geraldo and Mark, Michael Busuttil has also gone above and beyond in working to incorporate all of the multimedia storytelling elements that Brian and I have built as a part of this one-of-a-kind murder-mystery. These include all of our in-universe newspaper articles that crime reporter Peter Nickeas, formerly of The Chicago Tribune and CNN, has helped us with as well as some expanded coverage from Danielle Gaines’ controversial Edge News.
We’re also incorporating NO/ONE’s website where— if you have the right command code (hint hint, it’s in the article right above ;) — you can access not only all of the doxxing files that NO/ONE releases throughout the story, but also all sorts of additional audio clips, unreal engine videos (!) and more.
Michael’s laid out a nice double page spread at the front of the book to showcase a collage of files that are accessible via 00110000.info:
Now, in case you’re worried about being overloaded by reading material, we’ve designed the back matter to accentuate the pieces that are most important to the story— those articles are printed in the book itself. But if you want the full picture of events and details on the world, then we have more pieces that are accessible on The Pittsburgh Ledger’s branded coverage website, The Drop. Those articles are collected in the book by way of QR codes.
And then, of course, we’re also incorporating every episode of the WHO IS NO/ONE podcast that we made as a scripted audio series, starring Rachael Leigh Cook (She’s All That), PATTON OSWALT (Netflix’s The Sandman), TODD STASHWICK (Star Trek: Picard), YURI LOWENTHAL (Insomniac’s Spider-Man), LOREN LESTER (Batman: The Animated Series), ADAM McARTHUR (Jujutsu Kaisen) and a host of others.
All of the above are placed where they slot in the story and have dates on them, so you can experience all of this in the intended order.
I’ve mentioned how much we like immersion in our stories, right? ;)
Anyway! Volume one is on Final Order Cutoff this Monday for comic book stores but it’s also going to be available in book stores everywhere!
And, as we get closer to our November 20 release date, we’ll be announcing some exciting press and promotional initiatives.
This was a huge, crazy project for us and one that we’re all immensely proud of. With production on the film coming next year, we want to make sure that we give everyone a chance to experience the story (so far!) in the best possible way.
C.O.W.L. 1964 #3 - FOC October 14 (Monday), on sale November 20
As Geoffrey faces allegations that threaten to destroy his reputation and his plans for C.O.W.L., a figure watches from the shadows—but who really is WRAITH, and is he really at the heart of all of this?
Our penultimate issue of C.O.W.L. 1964 is on FOC this Monday and with it comes a story that Alec and I have literally been planning, thinking about and teasing since our 2008 film, The League. Spoiler alert, it features a lot of this guy:
Here’s a look at some early pages that take us all the way back to France in 1944, where The Grey Raven and Blaze first met the boy who would become Sparrow… on his way to becoming something a bit darker.
Preview:
Okay, that’s it for me today! Next week, THE FINALE OF THE CATALYST WAR!
Oh, and NYCC.
BUT ALSO, RADIANT BLACK 30 AND 30.5! YOU’RE NOT READY! SERIOUSLY!
Until then—
Stay Radiant!
