023 The Dead Lucky

For eagle eyed readers (i.e. anyone who finished the entirety of SUPERMASSIVE) you may have been wondering what that post-credits tease was all about. Well, now that we’re a week removed… we thought it would be a good time to talk a little bit about the next book that will hit the Massive-Verse later this year, THE DEAD LUCKY.
Set against the stylized, colorful, future-coded backdrop of San Francisco, The Dead Lucky is a series that explores the frustration and heart of a haunted veteran soldier, courtesy of former Power Rangers producer Melissa Flores and our killer art team from Radiant Black #12, French Carlomagno and Mattia Iacono with a sweet costume design from Federico Sabbatini, letters from Becca Carey and edits/design by the incomparable Michael Busuttil.
Like I said, the book is coming out later this year so we’re not quite ready for solicits. As such, we’re going to hold onto more of the big cool details until we’re a little closer to a full announcement/launch… but imagine if BLADERUNNER and ROBOCOP had a crossover with ARCANE? Yeah, that’s this book.
…and there may or may not be robots ;)
Rogue Sun Soars
This week saw the release of ROGUE SUN #1 from Ryan Parrott, Abel, Chris O’Halloran, Becca Carey and Michael Busuttil.
It’s a good book. A REAL good book. And I know that, for Ryan in particular, this is a really cool moment.
Could not be happier and more proud of my friend.

Radiant Red Rockets
Speaking of new books debuting, this Wednesday marks the release of Radiant Red #1 from my Radiant Black #6 partners in crime, Cherish Chen, David Lafuente, Miquel Muerto, Diego Sanches and Michael Busuttil.
This is Cherish’s first solo comic and I could not be more excited and proud of her — and the whole creative team — for this debut.
