016 Announcing: Radiant Blacklight Exclusive Cover and Blacklight Poster
Plus, Radiant Black boxes ready to ship
Happy Radiant Blacklight Day!
Today, Radiant Black 10 hit the stands. Our standard version—featuring killer covers by Eleonora Carlini, Igor Monti, and Declan Shalvey—is something I’m incredibly proud of. It’s also a version that will—save for a few tweaks—be the version we collect in TPBs.
But it’s not the most radiant version.
For that, you’ll need to hunt down a copy of the Radiant Blacklight Edition, our fluorescent blacklight comic recolored by new Radiant Black colorist Igor Monti, designed and printed with fluorescent Pantone inks for a cosmically one-of-a-kind experience.
This edition—which we’ve said we’ll never be reprinting—is a truly next level way to explore Existence.
Of course, just to be clear—I don’t want to take anything away from the standard edition. We know that rarer speciality editions—especially at higher price points—aren’t easily accessible for everyone. First and foremost, it was important to Marcelo, Igor, Michael and I that our standard edition be the boldest, most dynamic version of this story—and reading experience—that it could possibly be. And I am thrilled to report, that it is.
I also don’t want to take anything away from the Comixology edition which we made from Igor’s original RGB files, for an RGB experience you’ve got to see on an iPad to believe.
But if I had to recommend only one version of Radiant Black 10… it would be this version.
Now you might be saying to yourself “Cool, I saw these on social! What about that big cover image at the top of this post? What the hell is that?”
That, dear Black Market goers, is our first Black Market Narrative exclusive cover, illustrated and colored by Marcelo Costa and available only through us.
Hey, it’s like every genre staple knows—to get the good stuff, you go to the Black Market.
But part of what makes the good stuff good is that it’s limited.
And this comic book will be limited.
We’ve limited this edition to 900 copies (sans comps).
So, before we get into how this one works, now is probably a really good time to mention—if you’re not subscribed to this newsletter, you may want to take a second and click this link.
You may even want to take an extra second and send it to a friend. A loved one. Anyone whose Cool Stuff narrative experience you care about, really.
All good, we’ll wait.
Over the coming months, you’ll have two ways to get a hold of the Black Market Narrative Radiant Black 10 Blacklight Edition. The first, is to find me at a convention. I’ll be selling this edition—in very limited amounts—through Comic Sketch Art at any conventions I attend. Some shows I might have 5. Others, 1. So, if you want to track down a copy this way… I suggest getting to the shows early.
The second way is to pay attention to this newsletter.
See, depending on when shipments come in from our multiversal courier, we’ll be making 10 copies available at a time—the most we can allot, unfortunately. Due to multiversal pipeline delays—which will be announced and dropped exclusively through this newsletter.
(Did I mention you may want to sign up?)
Now unfortunately, our first drop is not today.
But don’t worry—it’ll be soon. And in the meantime, we’ve got some other exclusive stuff that you can buy right now.
Welcome to Existence 18x24” Limited Blacklight Poster
Limited to 100 copies (sans AP copies), I’m thrilled to announce that team Radiant Black has partnered with Nakatomi Print Labs in Austin, TX for a hand-printed 18x24 black-light fluorescent silkscreen poster!
This print—just like Marcelo’s cover—will go thermonuclear under a black light, thanks to its screaming bright neon fluorescent inks.
Oh, and you can buy it right here, right now:

P.S. the Radiant Black Boxes will be—sans any delays—shipping in the next few days!
I would like to relay my convo with Kyle at NYCC and the aftermath:
Kyle: We're doing a blacklight issue of RB soon and I've got these Radiant Black blacklights for sale.
Me: Huh? No thanks.
Me, reading the newsletter weeks later and seeing the blacklight issue preview: That is so cool! Oh. Crap.
Me, to my kids the other day: Wait, is that a blacklight pen? Gimme gimme gimme. I'll give it back next week.
That poster looks dope! Just picked me up a copy. Can't wait to receive it! Can't wait for the boxes as well! Thanks team for the great work!
